It’s on my todo list to send a pull request to the WebApiContrib project (though that project may be orphaned, it hasn’t been touched in a while). I’ll hopefully get around to it early this week.
I’m also more than willing to work with you to get a canonical version of this. There are so many different takes on on different blogs and stack overflow answers and nugets (some good, some not so good) that getting a solidified version in the docs would be nice.
